Bands
Over the years I’ve played in more bands than I can count, from jazz to blues to metal I’ve had experience playing pretty much all of it. Here are a few highlights of active projects.
Felix Martin is a Venezuelan guitarist & band trio based out of the elite Los Angeles music scene in California. Their unique and versatile style consists of an eclectic Metal sound with Latin Music and Jazz/Fusion genre mixes. Felix grew up in Venezuela, then moved to Boston to study at the renowned university Berklee School Of Music. After graduating on a scholarship, he got signed by Prosthetic Records (Marty Friedman, Animals as Leaders, Lamb of God, Gojira) and started touring the world with his band. Over the years, Felix has been featured in various media publications around the world including LA Weekly, Revolver Magazine, Billboard, CBS Radio, Guitar World, Premier Guitar, Vintange Guitar, Blabblermouth, just to name a few.
Colorado-based alternative rock artist, No Signal — the moniker for Riley Schmelzer — introduces a new sound with their genre-defying EP ‘venus.’ Last year we surpassed 1,000,000 streams on Spotify, Charted in 9 countries world-wide (Including #165 Billboard College Radio, #9 Alternative Mexico, #25 Alternative Albums Germany, and #3 Alternative Albums in the Netherlands to name a few) At the age of 19, No Signal reaches new sonic heights with new singles providing a sneak peek at the musical complexity and proficiency showcased in this project. Blending experimental elements from the Tesla coil, Theremin, Moog synthesizers and members of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, their EP has masterful musical arrangements and elevated production values that reinforces No Signal’s distinctive sound.
Brett Benowitz
Winner of the 2022 Fender Player Plus Sessions, Brett Benowitz draws from funk, soul, blues, and rock to create a mix of ethereal soul with groove and passion. With emotional lyrics, funky guitar licks, and powerful vocals most often compared to that of Jeff Buckley’s, Brett bares his soul in his songs with heartfelt messages and catchy melodies you’ll be humming in your sleep.
Approaching Indie Rock with their own flair, WISCO expands upon the genre with an emotional, bombastic, yet intimate sound. Frontman Connor McManus, although originally from Wisconsin, handpicked this band at the Los Angeles College of Music after moving to bring his songs to life.
